Go is a great fit for automating repetitive tasks. We helped a client automate their invoicing process, syncing all their sales orders from their external inventory software daily via cron jobs, creating invoices from the orders, and sending them to their customers via SFTP.
Along side a dashboard web app, we used Go to create an API that allowed a client to manually create invoices numbers for their orders. We then ran a cron job to create an invoice for the invoice numbers and send it to the customer.
